Lennox Apartments upgrade
Overview
Years of salt exposure had severely corroded the original roof system, including structural purlins and beams, making a complete rebuild essential. The project involved carefully removing the entire roof, replacing compromised structural members, and redesigning aspects of the system before installing new Colorbond aluminium roofing sheets — chosen for their superior durability in the harsh coastal climate. Beyond the roof, we also delivered a full exterior repaint, replaced eaves, and carried out detailed remedial works to restore the building’s appearance and longevity.
Working closely with building management, I coordinated trades and suppliers to ensure the project was completed smoothly in a live, occupied complex. The end result delivered both a fresh architectural look and long-term protection against the elements.
Project highlights included:
- Redesign and full replacement of the roofing system using Colorbond aluminium sheets.
- Structural restoration and replacement of purlins and beams affected by corrosion.
- Complete exterior repaint and eave replacement for a revitalised finish.
- Careful coordination with management and trades to minimise disruption to residents.
